Updated
- How does Effort Check work in Handler? After your second working set of an exercise, Handler asks “How did that set feel?”: pick Too Easy, Solid, Hard But Good or Maxed Out, tap Continue, and it suggests a new target for the sets you have left.
- What do I do in Handler when the squat rack or bench is taken?Mark it Busy right now. At a saved location, Handler swaps exercises you haven't started for ones with the same movement pattern. It can't see the gym floor, so it goes on what you mark.
- How do I do a 7, 10 or 15-minute workout in Handler?Open Quick Gym from Home, pick 7, 10 or 15 minutes and your equipment, and tap Start Workout. Already mid-workout? Ask Coach to fit the rest into the time you have left.
- How do I change my coach's style, or call my coach, in Handler? In Settings under Trainer preference, pick Marcus or Sarah and a style (Chill, Hype, Direct or Savage), then tap Save changes. With Handler Pro, open Coach chat, tap the phone button, then tap Start voice call for a two-way voice call with captions, up to 10 minutes.
- How much does Handler cost, and how do I cancel?Handler Pro is $79.99 a year in the US (checked on the US App Store on October 30, 2026), with a 7-day free trial on iOS for eligible new subscribers; you cancel through Apple or Google Play, not inside Handler.
- What doesn't Handler do?Handler has no Apple Watch app yet, its offline logging hasn't been independently tested, it can't see which equipment is free, and it doesn't diagnose pain or give medical advice.
